The school council is made up of 2 children from each class in Years 1 - 6. Children who would like to be a council representative put themselves forward and then the other children in the class vote for them.
The school council members need to be confident enough to be the 'voice of their class'. They meet once a term and their main aim is to organise fundraising events for the school as well as for charities and other good causes. In previous years the school council have implemented improvements to our playgrounds.
The start of the new term saw the School Council leading discussions around British Values. The children concluded that being tolerant of others, accepting of all faiths and religious beliefs, whilst maintaining a democratic way of life is essential to a happy school community.
CHILDREN IN NEED – THANK YOU!
The School Council organises the school's fundraising for Children in Need. This year we held a well organised cake sale and a wear your own clothes' day, which raised an amazing £407.57.
