Ash class took part in a Nature Day at Horton Kirby Environmental Education Centre. The children spent the morning labelling trees, measuring the length of roots from different plants and being seed detectives! After lunch, the children identified different trees by looking at the shape and colour of the leaves. They also had to invent and make a new plant out of clay. There were lots of different colours, shapes and sizes! The children really enjoyed the day and it was a great way to kick off our new topic, 'What is Growing Outside?'
