Parent Surveys and Feedback

Although we pride ourselves on an open door policy and our relationships with our school community, we send out formal parent surveys at least twice a year to gain feedback on our processes, curriculum and communication as a school. The Senior Leadership Team then analyse the answers and comments provided to help us improve.

November Survey Feedback

Very pleased with the school, my daughter is happy and she loves going every morning. To me -that says it all.

This school is fantastic, my little boy has fitted in brilliant and I'm so impressed by how much he has learnt already! He loves his teachers and I'm very pleased with everything.

Exceptional communication, all staff are approachable. Felt supported when needed. Daughter is happy and loves learning, credit to the teaching staff.

Have already recommended this school to others and will do so in the future.

Points for development:

  • More school trips as Covid regulations allow.
  • A follow up parent survey considering the need for wrap around care in lieu of after-school clubs.
  • Expanding opportunities for the school and parent communities to come together in a more relaxed setting- some responses felt that currently there are not many activities at the school or outside that bring us all together.

How have we responded?

More School Trips

Since November, the pupils have been given the opportunity to attend the following school trips.

  • Year 1: Beech
  • Year 2: Wingham
  • Year 3 & Year 4: Living Land at Detling.
  • Year 5: Victorian Experience Day at Kent Life.
  • Year 6: Evacuee themed day at Headcorn Aerodrome.

Have a look at our class blogs on Seesaw to see what we were doing and the things that we learnt.

We are really looking forward to the school trips we have lined up for the Academic year 2022-2023.

Wrap Around Care

Following this feedback, we have completed a parent consultation to discuss the needs of parents with regards to wrap around care.

Pupils are able to attend breakfast club from 8am and, starting in September 2022, pupils will be able to attend after school club.

Expanding opportunities for the school and parent communities to come together in a more relaxed setting

Following the easing of Covid restrictions, we have been delighted to invite parents in for different events. These have included coffee mornings, a sports day picnic and Year 6 end of Year celebrations.

In the Academic Year 2022-2023, we are looking forward to parents joining us for:

  • Parent meetings (a chance to meet the new class teachers, hear about what your child will be learning and see your child's classroom).
  • Phonic stay and play sessions.
  • A harvest festival
  • Our annual carol concert.
