EYFS have shown great confidence in music this term and the children have enjoyed learning new songs.
They have started to use some Makaton signs to support their learning of words and they have also enjoyed making up their own actions to some of the songs too!
Oak class began the term by looking at familiar songs and they participated confidently when singing nursery rhymes and our new greeting songs. They are beginning to develop their ability to sing clearly and expressively as a group and at times, as a soloist. This was seen at the Harvest Festival when they performed their class Harvest song, ‘Hooray for Harvest!’ with great success. Well done Oak class!
This term, the children have also explored different ways to make sounds using their voices, bodies and simple percussion instruments. Oak class composed their own successful sounds using body percussion and performed these confidently to their class.
