Admission to Primary School

Before your child is due to start school, please visit us and place your child’s name on the list for future entrants. We have two opportunities for you to visit our school, the first will be on Tuesday 5th November at 9.30am and the second is on Thursday 7th November 2019 at 1.30pm.  If you are unable to make either of these dates please contact the school office and a suitably convenient appointment can be made. 

If your child gains a place within our school they will be invited to spend some time, during the Summer term, in their new class in order to experience a variety of lessons and to become familiar with its layout.

Key dates

Tuesday 5th November 2019 - Open Morning starting at 9:30

Thursday 7th November 2019 - Open Afternoon starting at 1:30

Wednesday 15th January 2020- Closing date for online and RCAFs applications

16th April 2020- Email (after 4pm) detailing child's offer of place (for those who applied online). You can also log in from 5pm to view your offer.

16th April 2020- Offer letters are sent out in post by Kent County Council to all applicants. Please allow up to 3 working days for letters to arrive.

Admissions Policy

In the event of the school being over-subscribed for the Reception Year, places are allocated according to the following LEA admission criteria, in priority order:

• Children in local authority care

• Current family association (a brother or sister in the school at the time of entry)

• Health reasons (for which a medical certificate may be needed)

• Nearness of children’s homes to the school

Parents considering applying to the school at other times during their child’s/children’s primary years are most welcome to visit the school in the event that a place is available.


Applications for admission into Reception class for September 2020 will close on 15 January 2020.

If you apply online, you will receive an offer of the school placement after 4pm on 16th April 2020 by email. Please note, this can take several hours to come through to a personal email account, depending on your internet service provider.

If you do not have access to the internet or require support in completing an online application, our Family Liaison Officer, Clare Palmer, is happy to assist you. You can make an appointment via the school office.
