The school week is typically 32.5 hours each week.
The school gate is open between 8:40 and 8:50 for children to arrive at school. They are able to enter via the front or back entrance. Any child arriving after 8.50am should report to the school office, where they will be signed in and a late mark applied. Children arriving after registration closes at 9am will have their lateness marked as unauthorised.
At the end of the day, the gate opens at 3:15pm and the school day finishes at 3:20pm.
At the end of the day, children in Oak Class, and their older siblings, will not be released until they are collected from the Oak classroom by their parent, carer or named responsible adult.
Children in Year 1, 2 and 3 will be escorted onto their playground and handed over to their parent, carer or named responsible adult. Pupils in Years 4 and 5, will wait at their classroom door until they see the adult collecting them. With parents permission, pupils in Year 6 are able to walk home on their own.
Playtime
Key Stage One and Two have a 15 minute recreational break at either 10:30 or 10:45.
During this time, pupils in EYFS and Key Stage One are provided with a snack and pupils in Key Stage Two can bring in a healthy snack (either fruit or vegetables).
Pupils in Key Stage One have an additional 15 minute recreational break during the afternoon.
Lunchtime
Children in Reception begin their lunch break at 11:55pm, Y1 and Y2 from 12pm, and Y3 – Y6 12.10.
Lunchtime for Reception, Y1 and Y2 ends at 1pm. Lunchtime for KS2 ends at 1.10.
